Dear KATIE / Katie Widdowson / Assistant Archives Officer

Thank you for your comprehensive and speedy reply; this clarity certainly helps us to resolve this outstanding grey area about the health and attention to duty of Queen Victoria :
  1. Her term of isolation as widow was a very demanding period upon her, according to public records;
  2. She had always attended to her official correspondence [i.e., considering Parliament's Bills requiring her Royal Assent]
  3. Our concern [which arose through reading historical documents that alleged that she did abandon such customary duties] was further complicated by our understanding of her earlier and historical post part em distress from childbirth; and, therein,
  4. With this extreme period of solitude that bore down upon her in her continued grief in the loss of Albert; it became a matter of necessity to seek out confirmation that her original signature is attached to this Constitution Act, 1867 [BNA Act]
  5. Many territories of the Elizabeth II : Head of State : Canada remain non-treatied; therein, both the Canada federal and relevant provincial governments publish distress advisories concerning this matter of paramount governing authority remaining within the purview of consecutively settled sovereign peoples [CSSP]; most of which remains governed by absolute monarchs of these ancestral lands [Right To Return] within the modern state of Free Prior Informed Consent
  6. And, finally, we continue to examine the burdens and repercussions of the historical UK sophisticated scholarly published opinions as related to the Coronation Oath - in particular, those matters that arise wherein, each monarch undertakes to "honour and protect ... the customs and traditions of ... all Peoples ... within the realm ... so help (her / him), God" while seated upon the scone.
THEREFORE, we shall proceed with your proposal to acquire a coloured digital copy of this paramount document attesting to the Queen Victoria signature of Royal Assent.

Thank you - huy'ch'qu' - miiqwech - merci

Respectfully, Ralph Charles Goodwin [Godvine] : SQYX : Shqwi'qwal Yuxwuletiun [Speaker Eagle] : Secretary Of State : Kwa'mutsun Nation

Dear Mr Goodwin,

Thank you for your email.

The British North America Act was granted Royal Assent on 29th  March 1867. AS such, it is listed on the Royal Commission to pass Bills which was signed on 29th March 1867. This is under catalogue reference HL/PO/JO/15/159.

Unfortunately, this document is very fragile and so cannot be produced for viewing in our searchroom.

However, the Parliamentary Archives could supply you with colour digital copies of the Royal Commission in question at a cost of £14.55. As this would be sent electronically via WeTransfer, there would be no postage and packing charge.

If you would prefer a hard copy of the Royal Commission, this can be supplied at a cost of £32.00, including postage and packing.

Due to the fragile nature of the document, it will need to undergo conservation work prior to imaging and as such copies will take around twenty working days.

If you decide to place an order, please make your remittance payable to “The House of Lords Account” and send it to the address below. We also accept payment by credit card via email.  The transaction is done through PayPal but you do not need a PayPal account, just a credit or debit card.  Please let us know if you would like to pay in this way and we will send you a separate email with details. We aim to despatch your copies within twenty working days of receipt of payment, but this may vary according to the size and complexity of the order. Please note, orders are dealt with on a strict first-come-first served basis.

Best wishes,

Katie
