In The Matter Of Archives
I am in search of the chronology and documentation that will explain the notation "The City of Victoria is located on the homelands of the Songhees and Esquimalt People" as is recorded on the city website; namely,
- The legal transition of land title : CSSP (Consecutively Settled Sovereign Peoples) to the declaration of the City Of Victoria
- Within this framework, I am searching from the references of Dr Stitumaatulwut Hwuneem; wherein, I have been guided through the labyrinth of chronological, political and statutory documents arising since circa 4650 B.C.E. (the Hwuneem family lineage; through the 1788 Utrecht Court decision of the Geo III vs Charles II; Which secured European judicial precedent in acknowledging CSSP governing paramountcy (specifically, in the matter of Friendly Cove)
- I have included - at the top of this email - my catalogue of references that guide me through the colonization of these west coast regions (Turtle Island North of the 49th //) - in particular, with regard to HBC; and,
- Noting that British colonial practices (rights & duties) as established circa 1841 with the Maori Peoples became a format of "settled law" in the paramountcy of governing authorities throughout the British Empire; as originally, precluded by the RC Church Papal Bulls (1095 / 1455 / 1493) of Terra Nullius.
Hence, again returning to City of Victoria archives :
- Please, provide me with your website references steps; wherein, I shall find the trail from CSSP ("homelands") to the secured City of Victoria governance authority (as prescribed within the BC province & Crown Canada ascendency periods).
